Arsenal fans have been commenting on a social media post by rivals Tottenham which appeared to make a dig at the Gunners.

This summer has seen Arsenal and Tottenham go head-to-head in the transfer market and so far, the Gunners have triumphed every time.

Spurs fans were convinced Eberechi Eze was going to join them, only for Arsenal to strike a deal for Eze within hours of deciding they wanted him instead.

More recently, Arsenal won the race for Piero Hincapie, another player Tottenham wanted to sign this summer.

Spurs did manage to sign Xavi Simons, but Arsenal fans had an inkling that the other North London club tried to turn his arrival into a dig at the Gunners.

Arsenal fans respond to Tottenham’s ‘let it all work out’ post about Xavi Simons

On Friday, Tottenham announced the signing of Simons from RB Leipzig. Good for them and all that.

However, when they followed up all the initial unveiling, they posted a picture of him with the caption “let it all work out”.

This is the same caption Arsenal used after they signed Eze and he was unveiled at the Emirates.

Arsenal fans felt this was Spurs’ way of trying to save face after being completely embarrassed in the Eze saga.

“The real definition of cringe man,” one Arsenal fan wrote on X, while another said: “Warra Eze. Always in Arsenal’s shadow forever.”

Another fan wrote: “Shameless taking pride on getting rejected. Always in Arsenal’s shadow.”

The comments kept coming, with one Arsenal fan saying: “Spurs seriously need a new social media team.

“This is levels of cringe I could never have imagined they’d sink to, even knowing how they are historically and how desperate they’ve become.

“We’ve literally turned lil bro’ing them into a summer pastime in 2025.”

Another wrote: “Yeah that’s gotta be the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Another fan said: “No culture apart from copying Arsenal, you will always be our lil bros, Hincapie and Eze both knew it.”

The Gunners are set to host Spurs at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday 22 November, while the reverse fixture at N17 is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21 February 2026.
