Arsenal are exploring a move to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid.
The Gunners have been fairly quiet in this summer’s transfer window so far, and their refusal to pay the big bucks for Morgan Rogers caused more restlessness among the fan base.
However, David Ornstein has now revealed that Vinicius Jr is in Arsenal’s sights now, and this would be one of the biggest signings in the club’s entire history if they pull it off.
That being said, one of Andrea Berta’s messages to football agents regarding Bukayo Saka may prove untrue if he ends up signing the Real Madrid man.

Arsenal signing Vinicius Jr would break Andrea Berta’s Bukayo Saka promise
Vinicius Jr is one of the best players in world football.
The Brazilian is an absolute superstar, and he is good enough to play for every club on the planet.
However, such stardom means Vinicius will cost a lot of money – not just in terms of transfer fees but also his wages.
According to Capology, Vinicius earns a fixed salary of €480,769 a week at Real Madrid, with potential bonuses also included in his deal worth €240,385 a week.
If he joins Arsenal, he will at the very least want those figures matched, but the more likely scenario is that he will demand a raise.
If that happens, he will instantly become Arsenal’s highest-paid player, surpassing Saka.
That, however, was never in Berta’s plans when he extended the Gunners’ number seven’s contract last season.
Berta told agents that no new signing would be given a higher salary than Saka, which was understandable given his status at the club.
That stance will definitely change if they sign Vinicius, and we’re sure Arsenal fans will not complain if it were to happen.
