Arsenal have made signing a midfield partner for Declan Rice a top priority this summer, and the Gunners might have just found the perfect candidate at the Euros.

Fabian Ruiz is a name that has exploded into the public lexicon this summer, with the PSG midfielder arguably the best player at this summer’s Euros with Spain, who last night scored and assisted in La Roja’s 4-1 win against Georgia.
With PSG looking to sell Ruiz this summer according to Foot Mercato, the 28-year-old will likely be on the move in the coming weeks, with the Euros the perfect platform for the former Napoli star to showcase his talents.

And as per numbers from FBref, there’s good reason why Arsenal fans are comparing Ruiz to former midfielder Granit Xhaka, another player who has impressed greatly at the Euros this summer, 12 months on from leaving north London.
Indeed, Ruiz has stolen the show this Euros, and with PSG open to moving on the Spanish international, Arsenal have to be the side who pounce for the midfield maestro, who could be perfect alongside Rice and Odegaard.

For Arsenal, that could mean competition for Ruiz’s signature, a prospect that could fill the north London side with dream if a top team were to come into the fray for the Spanish international this summer.
