Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and they should follow this up by acquiring another excellent player from the West London club.
The Gunners are in desperate need of forward reinforcements and appear to be set to complete their first addition in this department in the coming days.
Madueke will arrive in a £52 million deal, with the winger set to undergo his medical in London.
The England international will become the latest in a string of Arsenal additions from Chelsea in recent years, but the raiding of Stamford Bridge shouldn’t end there this summer.

Nicolas Jackson is available for £43m this summer
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Willian and David Luiz have made the switch from Chelsea to Arsenal in recent years, and have flattered to deceive.
However, Arsenal have also recruited effectively from their West London counterparts, signing the likes of Kai Havertz and Jorginho, both of whom have contributed to the Gunners’ rise to prominence.
Given Chelsea’s general policy of overstocking their squad with players, there will always be excess talent coming out of Stamford Bridge that Arsenal can exploit.
Andrea Berta has done well to negotiate a £52 million deal for Madueke, and he should be looking to follow this up with another opportunistic signing from the Blues.
The Chelsea Chronicle report via CaughtOffside that Nicolas Jackson is available for just £43 million this summer, a reasonable fee for a striker who scored 13 goals in all competitions last season.
Arsenal need a striker this summer and are said to be close to agreeing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres.
However, Jackson is three years younger than Gyokeres, cheaper and proven in the Premier League.
While the Swede’s upside is higher, the Senegalese represents a relatively risk-free move, given how he has already excelled in the English top flight.
Arsenal should consider Jackson at the mooted £43 million price tag before formalising their deal with Sporting for Gyokeres.

Nicolas Jackson and Viktor Gyokeres’ statistics compared
Jackson has developed a reputation for being wasteful in front of goal.
While he could certainly improve the quality of his finishing, this is an attribute that can develop with age, and his underlying numbers suggest he could well explode into being a top striker if he can improve this side of his game.
Boasting blistering pace and exceptional movement in behind, Jackson has the raw ingredients that make him an exciting prospect in the Premier League and is well worth a punt at the prospective price.
Meanwhile, there are concerns about Gyokeres’ goal-scoring exploits, with the majority of the 27-year-old’s goals coming against lesser opposition in a considerably weaker Portuguese league.
| Statistical Comparison 2024/25 (League Only) | ||
| Stat | Gyokeres | Jackson |
| Appearances | 33 | 30 |
| Goals | 39 | 10 |
| Assists | 7 | 5 |
| Shots per 90 | 4.08 | 3.08 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.99 | 0.5 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 1.96 | 1.13 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 | 0.17 |
While Gyokeres’ statistics are undeniably better, the projections on how they’d translate to the Premier League aren’t clear, but they’re not certain to be superior to what Jackson is producing.
Thus, at the potential prices and the age profiles, Jackson certainly represents an enticing option that the Gunners should at the very least be exploring.
