Arsenal have decided to pursue Noni Madueke after agreeing personal terms with the Chelsea winger.

The Gunners have been quoted £50m for Madueke, who is contracted at Chelsea until 2030.

Andrea Berta is working to bolster Mikel Arteta’s options in wide areas, with the England international one shock option to compete with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The Premier League ace isn’t perhaps the signing that Arsenal fans would’ve wanted to see come in, but it appears that the club’s hierarchy is sold on what the 23-year-old could offer.

Arsenal make contact with Chelsea over Noni Madueke transfer

Madueke flattered to deceive in Chelsea’s win over Fluminense in the latest instalment of Club World Cup action.

The player’s lacklustre display hasn’t deterred those in N5, as The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed.

After Arsenal agreed personal terms with Madueke over a five-year deal, the Gunners are now in contact with their rivals over the winger’s transfer.

Ornstein revealed that Chelsea and Arsenal are ‘now in talks’, and while no deal has been struck, Madueke is prioritising a move to North London above other opportunities.

A product of Tottenham’s academy, the Englishman could now return to North London, but this time, in the red and white of Arsenal.

Arsenal go shopping at Chelsea once again

Arsenal fans are certainly split on their opinion of Madueke, who is a huge talent with astronomical potential, but isn’t a luxury player right now.

Chelsea entertaining talks with Arsenal only reinforces such, as once again, Arteta has his eyes on talent at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal have signed nine players from Chelsea over the years in the Premier League, with Madueke having the potential to represent the tenth.

After securing a deal with the Blues for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Arsenal have gone back knocking on Todd Boehly’s door once again.
