Arsenal are having to work hard to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United.

The Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder, and the need for one has increased massively due to Declan Rice’s recent fitness issues.

Arsenal have identified Guimaraes as their top midfield target and have even proposed a couple of offers through intermediaries. However, Newcastle are standing firm and demanding a fortune.

To convince the Magpies, Guimaraes’ representatives have come up with a clever solution.

Bruno Guimaraes’ agents come up with a genius plan to help him join Arsenal

Newcastle United are desperate not to lose Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

The Toon have already sold Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, and accepting a bid for their captain would send the wrong message to their fans.

For that reason, Newcastle are demanding £100 million for Guimaraes, which is way too much money for someone who will turn 29 this year.

Arsenal are unlikely to go that far to sign the midfielder, which is why the Brazilian’s agents have come up with a clever solution.

Fogao Net report that Guimaraes’ camp are set to offer Botafogo’s Danilo to Newcastle as a replacement for their current skipper.

Since the agency, Bertolucci Sports, represents both players, the plan is to guarantee a replacement for the Toon if they agree to sell Guimaraes to Arsenal.

Danilo will cost Newcastle a lot less than what they will earn from selling Guimaraes to the Premier League champions, so they will have a financial benefit if they go through with this deal.

It’s a win for the agents as well, as they will profit from the sale of two of their clients.

However, whether Newcastle will entertain this move from Guimaraes’ agents and agree to lower their demands is unclear at this stage.

If they do, it will prove to be a genius move by Guimaraes’ camp.
