Bruno Guimaraes has quickly emerged as one of Arsenal’s key summer transfer targets.

The Brazilian has been incredible in the Premier League for Newcastle United over the last four-and-a-half years, and he has entered the prime years of his career now.

Arsenal have made an offer to sign Guimaraes, but that was rejected by the Magpies immediately.

However, before the bid even arrived, the Gunners appear to have the player on board.

Bruno Guimaraes posted this video about Arsenal in 2022. Do you still want to sign him?

Bruno Guimaraes gave permission to Arsenal to bid for him

Bruno Guimaraes is exactly the kind of player Arsenal should be looking to sign.

The Newcastle star is Premier League proven, can play anywhere in midfield and is in the prime years of his career. He has also been shining for Brazil at the World Cup.

Arsenal tabled a £55 million offer for Guimaraes through intermediaries, and that was never going to be enough.

However, what is interesting is that the Gunners sought approval from the player’s camp.

Football Transfers have revealed that Guimaraes himself gave ‘permission’ to Arsenal to discuss a transfer with Newcastle United.

The report further states that the North Londoners never make contact with another club before speaking to the player first.

If this is to be believed, it looks like Guimaraes is open to a move to Arsenal this summer.

It is a no-brainer for Bruno Guimaraes to want to join Arsenal

Guimaraes has done everything he possibly could with Newcastle already, and this feels like the right time to move to a bigger club.

Arsenal are the reigning Premier League champions, Champions League finalists, and one of the very best teams in world football.

Guimaraes’ style of play makes him a perfect fit in the middle of Mikel Arteta’s midfield as well, and he would take them to the next level.

That is why it is understandable that the Brazilian would be open to a move to North London, and that is good news for Arsenal.
