Bruno Guimaraes is no stranger to Arsenal.

The Brazil international has been a target for the Gunners for a long time now, and he is back on Mikel Arteta’s wish list now.

Reports have claimed that Arsenal are trying to sign Guimaraes in this window, but before that happens, there is something he needs to do.

🤔 Which midfield target should Andrea Berta prioritise at Arsenal this summer?

Bruno Guimaraes posted a video about Arsenal in 2022

Bruno Guimaraes was a wanted man back in the winter of 2022.

The midfielder enjoyed two great years at Olympique Lyon and was on the radar of several top clubs across Europe.

Guimaraes spoke to Arsenal about a move back then, but the Gunners did not act on their interest and formalise an official offer.

The only club that did was Newcastle, and the Brazilian decided to join the Magpies.

In a personalised announcement video posted across his social channels, headlines stating Arsenal’s interest in him were displayed.

Then, out of nowhere, the video transitions into Guimaraes wearing a Newcastle United shirt outside St James’ Park.

That confirmed his move to the Toon, and everyone who watched the video felt that he took aim at the Gunners.

Bruno Guimaraes may have to delete that video if he joins Arsenal

Arsenal fans are social media experts and have the ability to find videos like this in a heartbeat.

Of course, no supporter likes being mocked, and the replies under Guimaraes’ post from over four years ago show that they were not happy at the time.

Now, should Arsenal’s interest materialise and Guimaraes ends up moving to the Emirates, the midfielder will have to delete the above video to get fans back on his side.

Either way, we think Guimaraes would be a sensational signing for Arsenal, and Andrea Berta should do everything he can to sign him.
