Morgan Rogers has quickly become one of the most talked-about players linked with Arsenal.

The Aston Villa star is admired by the Gunners, and recent reports have suggested that Rogers would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium if the opportunity arose.

That would see him join a dressing room packed with elite talent, including two players who are among the best in the Premier League.

However, Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice may not be too impressed after hearing what Rogers has just had to say.

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice snubbed by Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers has shared a dressing room with some incredible footballers already in his young career.

Whether at club level or with England, the attacker has had the chance to play alongside world-class players in almost every position.

That made for an interesting challenge when he was asked to name the ultimate XI of teammates he has played with.

There were a few selections that nobody could argue with. Others, however, are bound to spark debate. From an Arsenal perspective, the biggest talking point was who did not make the team.

Despite playing alongside Rice for England, Rogers opted for a midfield pairing of Jude Bellingham and Boubacar Kamara.

That is a huge vote of confidence in Kamara, but many supporters would argue Rice has been one of the best midfielders in world football over the last two seasons.

There was another surprise in attack.

Saka, widely regarded as one of the finest right-wingers on the planet, was overlooked in favour of former Real Madrid and PSG star Marco Asensio.

Asensio is a terrific player, but plenty of Arsenal fans will feel Saka has been operating on a completely different level in recent years.

Rogers is obviously entitled to his opinion, but Saka and Rice may have a thing or two to say if they end up becoming his teammates in Mikel Arteta’s side.

If you were Andrea Berta, what is the maximum fee you would pay to sign Morgan Rogers for Arsenal?

Morgan Rogers would still be welcomed with open arms at Arsenal

If Rogers does complete a move to the Emirates, nobody is going to hold these selections against him.

The England international has developed into one of the most exciting attacking players in the Premier League and would instantly improve Arsenal’s squad.

Rogers’ versatility, power and ability to carry the ball make him a perfect fit for Arteta’s style of play. More importantly, he has shown that he can perform consistently at the highest level against elite opposition.

Saka and Rice may not agree with his ultimate XI, but they would almost certainly love having him on their side every week.

And if Arsenal do manage to sign Rogers this summer, the trio could soon be laughing about these snubs together in north London.
