Arsenal are on the verge of signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge.

The Premier League champions have been linked with several wingers over the last few months, and the first player set to come in is the Greek winger.

Arsenal begin their pre-season training camp on Monday, and there is a chance that Tzolis could link up with his new teammates by then if all the formalities are completed.

If he does, he could outshine everybody.

How many goals and assists will Christos Tzolis end his debut season at Arsenal with?

He scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists last season👀

Christos Tzolis will join Arsenal with an advantage over his new teammates

Christos Tzolis is a very talented player; there’s no debate there.

The Greek international directly contributed to 51 goals for Brugge last season and was undoubtedly the best player in the Belgian top-flight.

The Premier League is definitely a significant step up, but early on in pre-season, Tzolis will have an advantage over the rest of the Arsenal squad.

That’s because the 24-year-old has already started pre-season training with Brugge and was even involved in a friendly.

Tzolis came on as a half-time substitute against Feyenoord earlier this week and scored just seven minutes later.

Arsenal players who aren’t involved at the World Cup are expected to start pre-season training in the coming days, while those who represented their countries are expected to get a bigger break.

That gives Tzolis an edge in preparation, and he is better placed than anyone else to hit the ground running when the new season begins.

Christos Tzolis could be forced to start Arsenal’s Community Shield clash and Premier League opener

New signings are usually given time to settle in before they are thrown into the deep end, but Tzolis may not have a choice.

Leandro Trossard has been sold, while Gabriel Martinelli’s future remains up in the air. Even if the Brazilian stays, he is expected to return for pre-season late, which means he may not be ready to start early in the season.

Even Arsenal’s top target, Morgan Rogers, should they sign him, will be given extended time off because of his involvement at the World Cup.

For those reasons, Tzolis could be forced to start the Community Shield against Manchester City and also Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Coventry City next month.

If he shines in those games, he will become an instant hero.
