Arsenal cannot afford to be left behind in the transfer market this summer.

Attacking reinforcements are top of Andrea Berta’s list and Benjamin Sesko wants to join Arsenal amid ongoing talks with RB Leipzig over a fee for the Slovenian striker.

Mikel Arteta wants one or two wingers to add to his current options and Arsenal are interested in Kaoru Mitoma from Brighton but a deal is seen as a difficult one to pull off.

Arsenal held interest in Bryan Mbeumo however, the Cameroon international appears to prefer a move to Manchester United. It now opens the door for Arsenal to move for another Premier League superstar.

Arsenal must sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth this summer

Nico Williams is Arteta’s dream signing in terms of a wide option this summer however, a move for the Spanish international is looking increasingly unlikely after he has entered negotiations for a new contract.

Arsenal have been linked with Antoine Semenyo throughout the season and after an excellent campaign under Andoni Iraola, the time is now for the Gunners to swoop.

Thierry Henry is a fan of Semenyo, who has been described as a ‘maverick’ by football analyst Ben Mattinson.

Semenyo possesses great pace and has shown on a consistent basis this season that he has the technique to take defenders on and create goal scoring opportunities – something Arteta has desperately missed in his side.

Antoine Semenyo would improve Gabriel Martinelli at Arsenal

Semenyo can play on either flank, which would give Arteta the option of resting Bukayo Saka when needed but also having genuine competition for Gabriel Martinelli.

A reason behind Martinelli’s decline in the last two seasons is that he hasn’t really had a player pushing him for his position in the Gunners side.

Leandro Trossard understands his role as an impact sub or second striker and struggles from the left flank, leaving the Brazilian as Arteta’s sole option.

The addition of Semenyo may light a much-needed fire in Martinelli and rekindle the form that made him one of Europe’s most feared wingers back in the 2022-23 season.
