Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba were incredible against Everton
Everyone knows that Gabriel and Saliba are among the best in the world, but they really proved it against Everton.
When the Gunners needed it most, the duo stepped up to a level that many could only dream of producing, combining to record 22 defensive contributions.
Describe Gabriel and Saliba’s performances vs Everton in THREE words
Everton applied the pressure to Arsenal, and while the fans in the Emirates certainly found their threat anxiety-inducing, Saliba and Gabriel gave supporters nothing to fear.
It was a monstrous performance from the two centre-backs, whose composure at the back ensured that the game stayed at 0-0 by the time the hosts were really able to turn things on.
What was fascinating about Saliba’s performance against Everton
As a defensive partnership, Saliba and Gabriel were impenetrable, but the Frenchman went above and beyond in other areas to make an impact.

While Gabriel stayed back, Saliba was frequently seen pushing forward, trying to make a breakthrough in attack.
13 of the 104 passes the 24-year-old completed against Everton went into the final third, two of which went down as key passes, contributing to chance creation.
Saliba made the majority of his 128 touches on the ball count, in what was a terrific performance from the centre-back, who is an incredible asset for Arsenal to own.
In a match that saw Arsenal strengthen their title credentials, it was only right for two of their best to rise, sending a warning to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
