Forget Zubimendi, another Arsenal player just showed why he must be sold after costing £50m

It felt a huge day for Arsenal today as they lost to Bournemouth and there were a number of players who didn’t really help their chances of sticking around this summer.

Mikel Arteta had a nearly full strength side to go with but he was let down by some lacklustre performances across the entire pitch.

In midfield, Martin Zubimendi was poor, Kai Havertz did little further forward and in defence, Arsenal looked nowhere near as solid as previously.

Indeed, when we look at the back four, it was the performance of Ben White yet again that showed why he might be one of the first out the door this summer.

Who was Arsenal’s worst performer against Bournemouth?

Ben White’s recent Arsenal performances show why he must be sold

While it’s not all on Ben White how Arsenal have been in recent weeks, it is abundantly clear that this Arsenal team is nowhere near as good when there’s no Jurrien Timber.

White comes in and does a job and in midweek in Lisbon he was just fine. But against Bournemouth today, he looked like he’d be beaten every time the Cherries got the ball.

The attacking trio of Marcus Tavernier, Rayan and Eli Kroupi had a field day. They purposely targeted both White and Lewis-Skelly out wide, leaving Evanilson to occupy Saliba and Gabriel in the middle.

As for White in particular, his performance was one he’d probably like to forget.

White was dribbled past a season high three times by Bournemouth’s players and crucially, one of those instances came when Adam Scott got the winning goal.

The England man also struggled with his tackling, making just one successful attempt from the four tackles he tried to make.

Another worrying stat on White came from Sofascore, who gave the right-back a rating of just 6.4, one of his lowest of the entire season.

Eventually, he was replaced by Christian Mosquera, bringing an end to a miserable afternoon.

In the end, these last few weeks have shown that A. Jurrien Timber is in a class of his own and B. Arsenal might need another right-back.

Unfortunately for White, it might mean the end of the road for him.
