Gabriel Magalhaes could use Liverpool to do something he’s never done at Arsenal

Gabriel Magalhaes could achieve a career first against Liverpool if one thing happens.

20 games into the Premier League campaign, and it’s fair to say that Gabriel has been one of Arsenal’s best players so far.

The centre-back has influenced the Gunners’ season both defensively and going forward, already contributing to six goals in the league.

Against Bournemouth, Gabriel scored his 20th Premier League goal for Arsenal, and when Liverpool visit on matchday 21, he’ll be eyeing another.

How many goals would Gabriel score if he played up front for Arsenal?

He’s at it again!

Gabriel Magalhaes could score in three consecutive games for the first time in the Premier League

Gabriel has already experienced scoring against Liverpool, netting against the Reds at Anfield in 2023.

The Brazilian always wants to score, and on Thursday, he’ll have an extra incentive to do so, as it would mark a career first.

If Gabriel scores against Liverpool, it’ll be the third consecutive Premier League match that he’s scored in, something he’s never done.

The 28-year-old has scored in back-to-back games previously, scoring headers against Manchester City and Tottenham last season, but never three in a row.

It would be an incredible feat for the centre-back, and one that, given how this season has gone so far, is realistic.

Liverpool present themselves as the perfect opposition for Gabriel and Arsenal

If there’s one team Gabriel fancies himself scoring against, it’s Liverpool.

After seeing Liverpool’s set-piece record, I’m __% confident Arsenal will beat Arne Slot’s side.

Only Bournemouth have conceded as many set-piece goals as Arne Slot’s side so far, who are finding it difficult to defend dead-ball scenarios.

Arsenal, on the other hand, love scoring them, particularly now that Gabriel has returned to the action from injury.

With a career first on the line, Liverpool should fear Gabriel more than ever, who will be desperate to score at the Emirates.
