Arsenal are keen to strike a deal for the services of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal sporting director Edu has already made contact with Napoli to discuss the future of Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian forward is expected to leave the Serie A club in the upcoming summer. Whilst he wouldn’t come cheap, as he has a £150 million price tag attached to him, the Gunners would be wise to do all they can to try and secure his signature for themselves.
The Gunners are certainly in the market for a striker, and Osimhen is likely the best goalscorer out there who might be considered in any way available.
It would be a struggle for Arsenal to meet Napoli’s financial demands for the player, though. One way that Arsenal could sweeten the pot is by offering a player, as well as cash, in exchange for the 24-year-old.
Mikel Arteta would obviously have to sanction this course of action himself, but it could be the only way to make getting a deal done possible.

3 Players Arsenal could use in Victor Osimhen deal
Emile Smith Rowe
For all his talent and potential, Emile Smith Rowe’s Arsenal career has well and truly stalled. The Hale End academy graduate burst onto the scene in the 2021/22 season, scoring ten Premier League goals and earning his first senior England caps.
Since then, though, injuries and the form of others have seen the 23-year-old fall down the pecking order. Whilst he is still a fan-favourite at the Emirates Stadium, he may need to consider moving on for the good of his career. Given his youth and previous exploits, the midfielder should still fetch a decent fee, or Napoli may be interested in acquiring his services.
Gabriel Jesus
A like-for-like swap that would see Osimhen coming one way, and Gabriel Jesus heading in the other. Whilst Arteta would be reluctant to let the £45 million Brazilian leave Arsenal, the forward’s game time would surely be hugely impacted by Osimhen’s arrival if both were to be at the club together. What’s more, he is one of the Gunners’ more valuable assets, and his inclusion in any such deal would knock a fair chunk off of Napoli’s asking price.
Leandro Trossard
Since his arrival from Brighton and Hove Albion in January, Leandro Trossard has proven his ability to shine at the highest level, whilst Gabriel Martinelli has prevented him from ever becoming a nailed on starter for the north London club.
The Belgian could well flourish in the slightly slower environment of Italian football, and he is also in the prime years of his career, making him potentially a very attractive proposition for Napoli to consider. Though, his inclusion in negotiations would not discount Osimhen’s price tag as much as Jesus would.
