Arsenal’s reputation for producing home grown talent is at an all-time high following the success of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Hale End is vastly becoming one of the most productive academy ranks in European football and after the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe breaking through, Arsenal now have two new young stars.

Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly have already become integral part of Mikel Arteta’s plans and now it seems other clubs are taking notice of the young talent at the Gunners.

Norwich are interested in Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and the striker would be set to team up with another former Arsenal academy graduate and one that Gunners fans still idolise.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji has been snubbed by Mikel Arteta

Arsenal’s injury crisis this season has left the Gunners painfully short in attacking areas at the crucial stage of the season.

Butler-Oyedeji has scored ten goals for the U21 side this season but has yet to play a minute in the Premier League despite appearing on the bench several times.

Mikel Merino has instead been entrusted with playing centre forward and despite Butler-Oyedeji making his Champions League debut, this should tell him everything he needs to know about his future at the club.

At 22, he now needs to start thinking about how to progress his career beyond Arsenal and the Championship is a league that will develop his game both technically and physically.

Jack Wilshere knows Butler-Oyedeji from time as Arsenal academy coach

Jack Wilshere worked with Butler-Oyedeji during his time on the Arsenal academy coaching staff and is now part of the first-team set up at Norwich City.

If anyone knows the young forward’s game inside and out it is Wilshere and with his proactive coaching approach, he can bring the best out of Butler-Oyedeji and develop his all-round game.

Harrison Dudziak praised Wilshere for the work he did with his game when at Arsenal and now Wilshere could have the opportunity to work closely with Butler-Oyedeji.

There comes a time in a young player’s career where they have to make difficult decisions but for Butler-Oyedeji, the decision should be a simple one if the opportunity arises in the summer.
