Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz matches Alessandro del Piero’s Juventus record

Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz has just matched Alessandro del Piero’s record of scoring five goals in the first 15 games of a Serie A season before turning 21, according to Opta.

The 20-year-old scored his sixth goal in all competitions away at Napoli; however, it wasn’t enough to prevent Juve from losing 2-1 in Naples.

Luciano Spalletti’s team are having a shocking season in Serie A, having now dropped into seventh place in the table.

But one of the only bright sparks of the team has been Yildiz, and it’s so clear why Berta is such a big fan of the attacker.

Arsenal have been tracking Yildiz since 2023, and he has now firmly returned to the Gunners’ agenda heading into the New Year.

One area of Mikel Arteta’s squad which still needs work is the left wing spot, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard competing to start there.

However, a long-term solution is needed for that role, and Yildiz could be the exact player that they need to fill that position.

Arsenal have made ‘real contact’ with Kenan Yildiz

Arsenal have made ‘real contact’ with Yildiz amid his recent contract talks with Juventus, according to Italian journalist Gianni Balzarini.

Speaking about the winger’s situation, Balzarini told his YouTube channel: “There has been real contact with Arsenal.

This is what Kenan Yildiz can do!

How much would you want Arsenal to pay to sign Kenan Yildiz?

“Arsenal have asked for information; it’s part of the game, there’s no negotiation, let’s be clear, but they have asked for information about this player.

“In my opinion, he could also do very well in the Premier League, given his physical and technical characteristics.”
