Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of few players who can improve Arsenal’s starting XI

With the money spent on Arsenal’s squad under Mikel Arteta so far, we are at a point really where anyone looking to become a first-team regular has to be of the highest quality.

When we look at Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, he is exactly that.

The Georgian winger completed a £70m move to PSG for a reason and that’s because he showed consistent performances of the highest order when with Napoli.

During that season, Kvaratskhelia featured for both Napoli and PSG and in 51 appearances overall, he netted 13 goals and provided a further 11 assists. Of course, his season culminated with winning the Champions League, where Kvaratskhelia delivered a performance worthy of that huge transfer fee.

This season, Kvaratskhelia has not quite hit the levels he might want but nevertheless, he’s on course to hit double figures in both metrics again, with nine goals and six assists in all competitions.

What is more impressive about Kvaratskhelia and why he is attractive to Arsenal, is his durability.

He has yet to miss a single game at PSG through injury and when he has been left out, it’s purely been down to the coach’s decision.

Players like Kvaratskhelia who have that robustness about them are ready-made for the Premier League.

Furthermore, with debates over the futures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, that space on the left side of Arsenal’s attack could well be open.

Kvaratskhelia, then, is the number one man in this position barring maybe Vinicius Junior and if Arsenal somehow pulled this deal off, it sets them up to be Premier League champions on a consistent basis.
