Arsenal are set to host Wolves in a Premier League clash on Saturday.
This weekend, Arsenal will welcome Wolves to the Emirates Stadium, knowing that a win will keep them in pole position in the Premier League table.
The Gunners ought to be full of confidence heading into this match, having thrashed French outfit Lens 6-0 in a Champions League fixture last time out.
Wolves are more than capable of posing a real threat though, and are a well-organised outfit under Gary O’Neil. Mikel Arteta will know that his side will have to be at their best to get the three points they need.
Despite having fielded a strong side on Wednesday night, we don’t expect the Spanish coach to rotate heavily for this fixture.
Predicted Arsenal starting XI v Wolves
David Raya
Having been ineligible to play against his parent club Brentford last time out in the Premier League, the ‘keeper will be back between the sticks for this match.
Takehiro Tomiyasu
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White played a half each against Lens. Whilst White is the usual first choice right-back when fully fit, the Japanese international was so good against the Ligue 1 side that he absolutely deserves to keep his starting berth for this match.
William Saliba
William Saliba was not at his usual brilliant best against Lens. The Frenchman will need to be back at the top of his game against Wolves.
Gabriel Magalhaes
Arteta will see no reason to take Gabriel Magalhaes out of the side.
Oleksandr Zinchenko
Like Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko was rested for the second half against Lens. Whilst many Arsenal fans were impressed by Jakub Kiwior after he came on, we expect the Ukrainian to keep his place.
Declan Rice
It would be madness to leave the former West Ham man out.
Martin Odegaard
It was a huge boost to see the club captain getting back into some decent form in mid-week. He will keep his place this weekend.
Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz suddenly looks like a player transformed and full of confidence after scoring in each of his last two games for the club. Now is not the time to take the £65 million former Chelsea man out of the team.
Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka was not happy about being taken off against Lens, as he made clear to TNT Sports, he wants to play every available minute. Arteta was protecting the 22-year-old with this clash against Wolves in mind, though.
Gabriel Martinelli
After a fantastic outing against Lens, Gabriel Martinelli should start against Wolves, meaning Leandro Trossard will almost certainly have to make do with a place on the bench.
Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus is still working his way back to full fitness, but played 80 minutes against Lens and was electric in the first half. Arteta will not be able to resist starting the Brazilian against Wolves, as he just brings so much quality to the team when fit and firing.
