During the Gunners’ 2-0 win over the Bees back in December, White was named Man of the Match in what was his first Premier League start in almost four months.

The defender produced a performance that will have just reminded his manager that he very much remains a strong option.

The 28-year-old’s progress was stalled just two league games later as he suffered an injury, but now it is time for Arteta to bring him back.

Ben White should start over Jurrien Timber for Arsenal against Brentford

Mikel Arteta should be looking to start Ben White ahead of Jurrien Timber for Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Brentford.

Back in December, White was on another level against Brentford as he set up Noni Madueke on just his second Premier League start of the season.

The 28-year-old has also been very strong in the final third for the Gunners, and he once again proved that the last time Arsenal faced Brentford.

The Gunners’ tough run of games continues this midweek, and rotation for the Spanish coach is going to be key.

Gabriel Martinelli has earned the right to start for Arsenal

Gabriel Martinelli has certainly earned the right to start for Arsenal against Brentford following his display off the bench against Sunderland.

The winger caused all sorts of issues against the Black Cats and even assisted Viktor Gyokeres’ second goal of the game.

The Brazilian has shown he can be a strong option on the right wing, and Arteta should look to give him the nod over Noni Madueke.

Madueke struggled against Sunderland and was hooked on the hour mark after completing just nine passes.
