Never mind Ethan Nwaneri, another Arsenal star should also be demanding answers from Mikel Arteta

Eberechi Eze has remained an unused substitute in Arsenal’s last three Premier League matches, suggesting there might be an issue with the England international.

Following Eze’s sensational hat-trick against Tottenham, he looked set to become Arsenal’s most important player this season.

Fill in the blank: Right now, I feel ____________ about Eberechi Eze’s lack of game time at Arsenal…

However, the winger has failed to find the back of the net since the North London derby, and his place in the team is now in serious doubt.

Arsenal have one of the strongest squads in Europe, and given the number of games they will play, Eze will get minutes, but his recent game time will be a concern.

Eberechi Eze has zero minutes in Arsenal’s last three Premier League games

Eberechi Eze is facing a real problem at Arsenal right now, as the winger is struggling to get anywhere near Mikel Arteta’s team.

For the first time since April 2022, Eze was benched in consecutive Premier League matches, and that became three in a row against Villa.

The 27-year-old had to watch on as Martin Odegaard produced another brilliant performance against Aston Villa to further cement his spot in the team.

The former Crystal Palace man needs to produce a response, but right now, he’s not even getting a chance to do so.

Right now, it’s evident that Arteta does not trust him, with Odegaard offering much more all around to the team.

Eze started against Palace in the Carabao Cup last week, but ended up being hauled off just after the hour mark following an underwhelming display.

The issue is that Eze has been really poor recently, so he hasn’t earned the right to start, but not even getting on the pitch will be hugely frustrating for him.

Ahead of next summer’s World Cup, Eze will need to be playing much more to prove to Thomas Tuchel that he is worth having on the plane to North America.

Ethan Nwaneri doesn’t even make Arsenal’s squad versus Aston Villa

It could have been worse, though, as Ethan Nwaneri didn’t even manage to make Arsenal’s squad versus Aston Villa.

The teenager will now surely leave the North London club on loan in January, having played a total of just 165 minutes in the Premier League.

Arteta is open to letting players leave in January, and that is not a surprise given just how strong the Gunners’ bench looked against Villa.

Meanwhile, Noni Madueke will be another player who could be frustrated by his lack of minutes at Arsenal right now.
