Arsenal fans are so focused on the prospect of signing Vinicius Jr that they have forgotten about their newest recruit, Christos Tzolis.
The North Londoners began the window in search of two left wingers to replace Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Tzolis was the chosen one to take the place of the Belgian, but since news broke about Arsenal’s interest in Vinicius, nobody has been talking about the Greek international.
However, we have a feeling that the former Club Brugge star is going to surprise a lot of people in the upcoming campaign.
Give us your wildest Christos Tzolis prediction for his debut season at Arsenal👀
Arsene Wenger’s quote on Rob Holding could be used on Christos Tzolis all season at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger was not just a genius on the pitch as a manager, but he also had his way with words.
The legendary Frenchman produced some iconic quotes during his 22-year spell at Arsenal, and some of them are still fresh in fans’ memories.
One of our favourites is what Wenger said about Rob Holding after his performance in his debut season against Leicester City.
“Nobody is speaking about the performance of Rob Holding today. You should be happy; he is English, he is 20 years old, but I’m sorry he didn’t cost £55m, so he cannot be good,” Wenger said in 2016.

10 years later, player prices have gone through the roof, and big clubs rarely ever get to make signings for a bargain price.
However, in this inflated market, Arsenal have managed to sign Christos Tzolis for just £34 million after a season in which he scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists to help Club Brugge win the Belgian league title.
That is very smart business, and even though everyone’s focus is on Vinicius Jr potentially coming in, we think Tzolis will produce some impressive numbers in the chances he gets.
If that were to happen, we’re sure Arsenal fans will bring back Wenger’s iconic quote on Holding and tweak it to hail Tzolis’ performances.
We can already imagine supporters saying: “I’m sorry Tzolis didn’t cost £150 million, so he cannot be good.”
How many goals and assists will Christos Tzolis end his debut season at Arsenal with?
He scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists last season👀
Christos Tzolis made an immediate impact on his Arsenal pre-season debut
Just two days after he signed for Arsenal, Tzolis started in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly against MK Dons.
The Greece international started on the left wing and made a bright start. In the very first minute of the game, he set up Reiss Nelson, but the Englishman’s attempt was saved.
However, Tzolis repeated the move later in the first half, and this time, Nelson took his chance, thus handing the new Arsenal signing an assist on debut.
That is really promising to see, and when the Premier League champions take on Girona on Saturday, we expect to see more of Tzolis’ magic.
It will be interesting to see how he will perform amid all the talk about Vinicius coming in to become the Gunners’ first-choice left winger.
