Arsenal are gearing up for another big summer transfer window.

The Gunners’ full focus right now is on winning the Premier League and Champions League, and they are in a great position to achieve both objectives.

Andrea Berta, however, is looking to make three major signings – an attacker, a midfielder and a right-back.

One of those targets is Tino Livramento of Newcastle United.

Tino Livramento wants to join Arsenal

It is no secret that Arsenal are keen to sign a new right-back this summer.

Ben White is expected to be moved on, with Jurrien Timber set to start next season as the first-choice in that role.

As a backup, Livramento has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

The former Chelsea man is a phenomenal talent, and it has always only been a matter of time before he left the Toon for a bigger club.

Reports have claimed that Livramento thinks he is joining Arsenal, and Football Transfers have backed that by claiming he wants the switch to the Emirates.

However, that may not be the best idea.

Arsenal should snub Tino Livramento

On his day, Livramento is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

The Englishman can play on both sides and has the ability to perform at the highest level in either full-back role.

However, Livramento’s injury history is a serious concern.

Since the start of this season alone, the 23-year-old has missed 33 games due to two knee injuries, a hamstring issue and an ongoing thigh problem.

The biggest reason why Arsenal are prepared to move on from White is his injury issues, so splashing big money on Livramento doesn’t really make sense.

For that reason, the Gunners shouldn’t consider signing him, even though he is ready to join them this summer.
