The 50-goal milestone Arsenal just hit signals applause for Andrea Berta

Four of Arsenal’s summer signings have combined to contribute to 50 goals this season, and Andrea Berta is deserving of praise.

Some Arsenal fans are worried about what Berta could do in the summer amid transfer links to Anthony Gordon.

What supporters should focus on is the now, and the now only emphasises how impressive the Italian’s work in the 2025 summer transfer window was.

Eight new signings bolstered Mikel Arteta’s squad in every department, but there are still question marks over what happened in attack.

Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres were chosen to strengthen Arsenal’s attack, and while there’s still a lot more to do in that department, it can’t be ignored that the offensive signings have impressed.

Arsenal need to make one major sale this summer. Who are you selling and for how much?

Arsenal’s summer signings contribute to 50-goal milestone

Thanks to how Arteta has transformed Martin Zubimendi, Arsenal essentially added a goal threat to their squad with a total of four players in the summer.

The evidence is there to prove how impressive Berta’s work was to hire Gyokeres, Zubimendi, Eze and Madueke, as the four players have now contributed to a combined 50 goals.

How many goal contributions will these players combine for next season?

The four new signings’ goals and assist tallies this season add up to 50 after Madueke and Eze’s contributions against Mansfield Town.

It’s an impressive record from the new arrivals, who are delivering on Berta’s major investment to bring them to Arsenal in the summer.

Milestone only highlights Viktor Gyokeres’ drop

The next task is simple, and that’s for Berta to repeat the feat next season, but using one player instead of four.

Arsenal need a top-class forward, a player who can offer goals and assists in abundance.

Berta might just be thinking to himself, ‘I delivered that’, as he signed Gyokeres from Sporting CP on the back of a season that saw the striker contribute to 67 goals in all competitions for the Lions.

Agree or disagree: Comparing Viktor Gyokeres to Didier Drogba is a good thing, he deserves more credit for what he’s done for Arsenal

Gyokeres’ 54 goals and 13 assists for Sporting last season were a statement, but only show how he’s had to start from scratch in the Premier League.

The Swede has 17 goal contributions thus far for Arsenal, a slim return on the numbers he produced only last term.

The good news is, there’s a lot that the 27-year-old can still give; the bad news is the doubts as to whether he’s truly capable of replicating those numbers in England.
