A new picture featuring Bukayo Saka and one England teammate will have Arsenal fans hoping that Mikel Arteta pushes for a certain signing.
The England squad had good cause to celebrate last night, as they beat the Netherlands 2-1 in Dortmund to secure their place in the final of Euro 2024. They will take on Spain in that ultimate showdown on Sunday.
It has been a real squad effort from the Three Lions to this point. The importance of players being able to come off the bench and have an impact for Gareth Southgate’s side was exemplified on Wednesday, as Ollie Watkins came on and provided a 90th minute winner.
In the celebrations after the final whistle, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was photographed alongside England teammate Eberechi Eze. The Hale End academy graduate posted the picture on his own Instagram page.
Eze did not make it onto the pitch in this match, but has played an important role for his country throughout the competition so far. Meanwhile, Saka impressed fans with his performance against the Netherlands.

Arsenal fans will want Mikel Arteta to make Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze combo happen
Mikel Arteta is very aware of Eze’s quality, too. The Crystal Palace ace was in sensational form last season, as he racked up 11 goals and 6 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
There is certainly an argument that Arsenal ought to make Eze one of their top transfer targets this summer.
This picture of the 26-year-old alongside Saka may well have caused Arsenal fans to ponder how well the duo might dovetail together at the Emirates Stadium. Eze would certainly add guile, creativity, and goal threat to the Gunners’ ranks.
Why Eze would be such a good fit at Arsenal
Eze is also an extremely hard worker on and off the ball, which would certainly appeal to Arteta. The 7-cap England international can be relied upon to press aggressively and track back to support his side’s defensive efforts.
His versatility would also prove useful in North London, as Eze can be played on the left flank, as well as in a more central role. This means that he would be able to provide cover and competition for the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Arsenal are keen to bolster their midfield contingent this summer, and Eze is an option that Arteta ought to be seriously considering.
