England’s Euro 2020 campaign is truly alive after the performance of Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka.

The winger was in fantastic form as he tore apart the Czech Republic defence in a 1-0 win.

However, aside from his value to Gareth Southgate, the youngster proved something more important.

His worth to Mikel Arteta.

Just in case the Spaniard had forgotten who the 19-year-old was and what he’s capable of, he was shown last night.

Saka attempted the most dribbles and was the second-most fouled player for the Three Lions.

It was a truly magnificent spectacle especially for Ian Wright, who was as giddy as a little schoolgirl. The Gunners legend described him as being ‘burdened by glorious purpose‘ after his first-half display.

Why Sterling? Saka sends Arteta and Arsenal warning with Euro 2020 display

However, if you go by the latest reports, it seems as though Arteta doesn’t feel it’s enough.

The club have been linked with a move for Raheem Sterling with reports claiming Arsenal have made an enquiry. And you have to question why.

Nicolas Pepe ended the season like a runaway train with five goals in three Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Emile Smith Rowe scored the winner in a crucial away victory over Chelsea. And finally, you have Saka lighting up the European Championships.

Three bright wingers who can carry the club for years to come.

There’s no need for a winger with the current three in sensational form. And with Sterling earning upwards of £300k-per-week, he wouldn’t be a wise investment.

Arteta was sent a warning last night.

He possesses the talent to take Arsenal forward, especially in the final third with the likes of Saka, Pepe and Smith Rowe.

Needless transfers need to be avoided as they’re more likely to harm the club than help them.
