What a player Bukayo Saka is! Every Arsenal and England fan kept saying this over and over again last night as the incredible teenager set the Euros on fire with a fantastic performance against the Czech Republic.

Saka got the nod from Gareth Southgate after sitting out the first two games. England had already qualified, so, the pressure was off. However, it’s never easy to step up for your country and deliver the goods, especially when you’re just 19 years old.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

The Arsenal youngster made it look like it was nothing. It was all too easy for him, and even though he didn’t quite score a goal or pick up an assist, he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.

In his 84 minutes on the pitch, Saka registered 52 touches and completed 24 out of his 28 attempted passes. He completed four out of his six attempted dribbles as well and was England’s driving force last night.

Despite starting in attack, Saka was very aware of his defensive duties. He won seven ground duels and registered a clearance, an interception and a tackle, and was dribbled past just once in the entire game. (SofaScore)

It is safe to say, everyone at Arsenal are proud of what the Englishman achieved last night. He deservedly won the star of the match award, and the fan-favourite who Saka started ahead of yesterday was just as pleased as all of us.

Jadon Sancho sends classy message to Arsenal star Bukayo Saka

Almost everyone in England wanted Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho to start on the right-wing yesterday. The former Manchester City attacker scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in Germany last season.

His numbers are superior to most attackers in the whole competition, let alone England, and Gareth Southgate’s reluctance to use him infuriated many supporters.

There were some moans before kickoff yesterday too as Saka was given the nod over the Dortmund man, but the Arsenal starlet completely justified his selection.
