Arsenal need to sell Willian after reports emerged claiming the winger’s move to Inter Miami has collapsed.
According to The Sun, the MLS club pulled out of a move for the former Chelsea man. It’s claimed that the 32-year-old demanded more than double top-earner Gonzalo Higuain’s wages.
But, the club want to get rid of Rodolfo Pizarro, which would open up a designated player slot for the club.
Willian produced shocking levels of performances
The Brazilian wants to quit Arsenal after just one season in north London. Willian struggled massively in his debut campaign, scoring just a solitary goal for the club.

He was roundly criticised for his performances by fans and pundits alike. Ian Wright claimed he and Nicolas Pepe should’ve been embarrassed by the displays of Emile Smith Rowe last year.

Wages would get eaten up like Ozil
Selling Willian is a critical move for Arsenal amid interest from Inter Miami.
The player was an awful addition to the side and his continuation would only eat up wages.
Arsenal have been here in the past, where players remain at the club to simply earn a salary without kicking a ball. Mesut Ozil is the most famous recent example as he was left out of the Premier League squad last year.
However, the German isn’t the only player to have enjoyed this fate. Mikel Arteta, Per Mertesacker, Thomas Vermaelen not only earned a salary whilst failing to play. But, the trio were also club captains at the time.
Imagine having a club captain who doesn’t play, but, takes home a huge wage.
Then imagine making that mistake three times over.
Willian should never have joined in the first place. However, he must leave so that Arsenal can move on from failures of the past.
