There’s actually an ‘injury crisis’ at Arsenal right now but nobody’s talking about it

Arsenal fans are on cloud nine after their incredible start to the new season.

The Gunners are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table and have won every single game they’ve played in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

Mikel Arteta is absolutely delighted with how well his men have been playing this term, and this could finally be their year.

However, there is a serious issue at the club right now.

Arsenal are in an injury crisis in attack

Arsenal’s squad depth has made them the best team in the Premier League this season.

Andrea Berta signed eight new players in the summer transfer window, and all of them have played their part so far.

That is great news if you’re an Arsenal fan, but if you look at the Gunners’ current injury list, there is serious cause for concern.

The North Londoners have seven players injured at the moment, and six of them play in attack.

Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard have all been out for some time now, and Gabriel Martinelli joined the list recently.

On Saturday, in the win over Burnley, Viktor Gyokeres was withdrawn at half-time due to injury, and Martin Zubimendi also asked to come off.

Having six attackers out at the same time is a serious problem – one fan has called it an ‘injury crisis’ – but nobody else is talking about it because Arsenal have been incredible without them.

Four long-term Arsenal absentees are close to returning

There is a chance that Arsenal will have all seven players unavailable for their game against Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The clash against Sunderland in the Premier League next weekend could also come too early for many of them, which is a big concern.

However, Arteta has confirmed that Odegaard, Madueke and Havertz are all in line to return for the game against Tottenham after the international break.

Jesus has hinted that he is close to a comeback as well, which is very positive.

For now, Arteta will have to find a way to get through the next two games without some of his key players. It is not ideal, but Arsenal definitely have the squad to do it.
