Thomas Tuchel publicly criticised one Arsenal player’s performance after England’s win over Andorra.
The Three Lions’ struggle to find an identity continues, despite Tuchel recording his fourth win in five games.
Expectation is high given the talent in the England squad, but the manager is being tested to get his team playing more attractive football.
As England beat Andorra 2-0 at Villa Park, four Arsenal players were in the starting XI, but not everyone impressed.

Eberechi Eze struggled against Andorra
Declan Rice scored and Noni Madueke had an impressive outing against Andorra, but Myles Lewis-Skelly and Eberechi Eze struggled.
Eze was given the chance to show his worth in the number ten role due to several key absences, but even Tuchel admitted that Arsenal’s new signing flattered to deceive.
Speaking to ITV after the game, the England boss shared his opinion on Eze’s performance.
“Maybe Ebs had not his best day in the No 10 position,” Tuchel said.
“He trained so well. In the decision-making, struggled a little bit.”
Sadly, it wasn’t only the England manager who had a problem with Eze’s performance, as national media also weren’t blown away by what the playmaker did.
Mirror Sport described the Arsenal forward as ‘a bit ponderous’ and ‘underwhelming’, while BBC agreed with Tuchel, saying that Eze ‘didn’t have his best game’.
Brutally, talkSPORT handed the former Crystal Palace star a 3/10 match rating, in what was a tough outing at Villa Park.

Eze unlikely to play his favoured position for club and country
After flying the nest at Selhurst Park, Eze has been given an immediate challenge to attempt to be a starter in his favoured position for both his club and his country.
There are already doubts about how Eze fits into Arsenal’s squad, with it unlikely that the 27-year-old will be granted the chance to play in his favourite central role.
It’s most likely that the £67m signing will play on the left side, leaving Martin Odegaard as Arsenal’s number ten, a situation that follows him at international level.
Tuchel wasn’t wowed by Eze against Andorra, as he ultimately failed his audition in attacking midfield, potentially closing the door on the Arsenal man’s claim to the role.
It’s certainly not all doom and gloom for Eze, who is yet to make his full debut for Arsenal after securing his dream transfer, with a lot to come from the forward, who will be hungrier than ever to impress.
