Arsenal will face a new manager in the next North London Derby after Tottenham Hotspur announced the sacking of Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian ended Spurs’ embarrassing 17-year trophy drought in May by leading them to Europa League glory.
Despite that, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has decided to push him out the door because of the club’s terrible finish in the Premier League last season.
It’s always sad to see anyone lose their job, even if it is the manager of your rival club. But, Tottenham’s decision to get rid of Postecoglou makes one thing clear.
Tottenham sacking Ange Postecoglou proves that Arsenal fans were right
Tottenham were over the moon after winning the Europa League.
Spurs fans completely forgot that they finished 17th in the Premier League table and decided to brag about their shiny new trophy.
Many, including Jamie O’Hara, went as far as saying that Tottenham had a better season than Arsenal because they won a competition that the Gunners weren’t even a part of.
Arsenal fans have been against that assessment all along and have claimed that Mikel Arteta’s side had the better campaign because they finished 16 places and 36 points above Spurs.
The entire Tottenham board, including chairman Levy, must agree with Arsenal fans here – sacking Postecoglou proves that.
If the decision-makers at Spurs had really felt that they had a better season than the Gunners, they would have stuck by their manager
The fact that they haven’t shows that Arsenal had the better season, and any other opinion about that topic is wrong.

‘Tottenham had a better season than Arsenal’ claim is senseless – here’s why
Tottenham fans backed their club in the debate with Arsenal, and that is no surprise.
What was crazy, however, was that popular football pundits publicly claimed that Spurs had a better season than the Gunners because they won a trophy.
That is a silly thing to say for several reasons.
For starters, Arsenal earned higher prize money than Tottenham, even though they didn’t win the European competition they were in – the Champions League.
Secondly, the Gunners weren’t in the Europa League because, by definition, they were too good for that competition and deserved to play amongst the elite.
Finally, Tottenham winning the Europa League just means that they are the 37th-best team in Europe. Arsenal, who reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, are the third or fourth best team on the continent.
That proves that Arsenal had the better season than Tottenham, without even taking into consideration where the two sides finished in the Premier League.
