Transfer domino set to fall for Arsenal as incoming striker move could trigger a deal

Arsenal are looking for some movement in the market to give them an opportunity to strike in the January transfer window.

The Gunners are struggling to score enough goals on a consistent enough basis to cause teams problems, leading to links with entering the window for a signing or two.

Plenty of forwards have been reported with interest, however it’s uncertain exactly how easy it’ll be to land one that can change the squad.

Arsenal have a few strikers in their sights, one of which is Benjamin Sesko, whose future could depend on a few different factors.

Noah Okafor to RB Leipzig could help Arsenal in Benjamin Sesko transfer

Arsenal are looking to bolster with a centre-forward, but the possibility of landing one in January appears increasingly uncertain.

Benjamin Sesko is an option, even despite signing a contract back in the summer with RB Leipzig, but he seems unlikely to switch until the summer.

That may change with a potential transfer domino set to fall as journalist Matteo Moretto reports a deal for the German club.

It’s claimed that AC Milan’s Noah Okafor is nearing a potential switch to RB Leipzig, with negotiations underway for a move.

The Swiss international can play as a centre-forward as well as on the left or the right flank if required, making him a versatile option.

For Leipzig, it helps to bolster their options, but it could also free up a chance for Sesko to move in the weeks and months ahead.

Arsenal must try their luck with January transfer for Benjamin Sesko

With RB Leipzig set to close a deal on Okafor, it may well open the door for Arsenal to try and land Sesko.

While it seems unlikely in January, the reality is that the situation warrants the side making a push to strengthen this season.

There are plenty of big competitions at stake, with the chance for Mikel Arteta to add some more silverware to the trophy cabinet.

Arsenal have already discussed Sesko, with the striker previously unable to join as Kai Havertz was viewed as the first-choice option.

With a high ceiling and plenty of promise, the forward may now finally have a chance to seal the number nine shirt for himself.

As a result, a cheeky push from Arsenal to try and land Sesko early may do no harm if they can get a deal over the line.
