Viktor Gyokeres has officially joined Arsenal.
The Gunners have been chasing the Sweden international all summer, and talks with Sporting CP were a nightmare for Andrea Berta.
Arsenal were left really unhappy with Sporting at one point, but the Italian used all his experience to strike a deal and land the prolific centre-forward.
Gyokeres will meet the rest of the Arsenal squad in Singapore soon, and we can’t wait for him to step on the pitch and represent the club.
Viktor Gyokeres and Raheem Sterling could have one similarity at Arsenal
Raheem Sterling is up there with the most disappointing signings Arsenal have ever made.
The 30-year-old has achieved everything in English football over the course of his career, but he has been nothing like his usual self in recent years.
Sterling played 28 games for Arsenal during his loan spell last season, the first of which came in the North London Derby win against Tottenham Hotspur in September.
The Chelsea loanee came on as a substitute and played the final 10 minutes of the game that Arsenal won 1-0 thanks to a Gabriel Magalhaes header.
Now, Viktor Gyokeres could do the same.
The Swede, whose move to Arsenal was only made official on Saturday, is unlikely to make it into the squad for the Newcastle United game on Sunday.
That means his debut is set to come against Tottenham in Hong Kong next week. The fixture is a historic one as it will be the first-ever North London derby outside of England.
We have a feeling that Gyokeres will fare much better than Sterling did for Arsenal.

Viktor Gyokeres would’ve destroyed Tottenham last season
Every Arsenal fan will tell you that a prolific striker like Gyokeres should’ve been signed years ago.
The Gunners were linked with the Swede last summer as well, but a move didn’t materialise and he continued to deliver for Sporting.
Had he moved to Arsenal last year, Gyokeres would’ve had the chance to face Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham, whose defence was more open than anything we’ve seen from a big team in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old would’ve ripped Spurs to shreds with his ability to run in behind and score goals – it’s a shame that his debut is likely to come against Thomas Frank’s Tottenham now, who will be more organised.
However, we still back Gyokeres to score against the enemy and become an instant hero to Arsenal fans.
