Arsenal will now be on high alert regarding the availability of Kylian Mbappe.
PSG superstar and Arsenal target Kylian Mbappe is very likely to be on the move in the near future.
Arsenal have been credited with an interest in signing Mbappe for some time. In fact, the Gunners’ interest in the French attacker even dates back to Arsene Wenger’s time in charge at the Emirates Stadium.
Whilst he was still a youngster on the books at Monaco, Wenger visited Mbappe at home in order to convince him to sign for Arsenal, as reported by Sky Sports. Of course, the iconic French manager was unsuccessful on that occasion. Yet, the Gunners could still get their hands on the 25-year-old even now.
It has now been reported that Mbappe would “willingly” join Arsenal, if the opportunity to do so arose, as he would be keen to following in the footsteps of his hero, Thierry Henry. Of course, Henry is an Arsenal legend, and the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, who, like Mbappe, began his career at Monaco.

How Arsenal must respond to Kylian Mbappe revelation
If there is any chance of being able to bring the PSG man to the Emirates Stadium this summer, then Mikel Arteta must do all he can to push to get that deal over the line. The prospect of seeing the 75-cap France international line up alongside the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard in north London is a tantalising one.
If a deal to sign him is feasible, Arsenal must make Mbappe their top summer priority. Of course, the forward will not come cheap, and his wage demands could prove to be an insurmountable stumbling block, but his current contract situation at PSG ought to give the Gunners some hope of being able to secure his services.
Signing Mbappe would represent the kind of statement that can utterly transform the perception of a club. It would raise the stakes and expectations at Arsenal, as Arteta’s side would go from being determined contenders to a club that is demanded to win some of the top prizes in the game. It would send a clear message that Arsenal mean business.
What’s more, it would also address a major flaw that currently exists in Arteta’s squad, namely the lack of an elite-level goalscorer. Mbappe is certainly one of those, as in his club career to date, across his time at Monaco and PSG, he has racked up an extraordinary return of 273 goals in 361 appearances.
