Next up for Arsenal come Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Noni Madueke will be licking his lips.
The Gunners must return to winning ways after dropping points in four of their previous six Premier League games.
Wolves are looking to test Arsenal again, after sending the Emirates into a state of shock on matchday 16, when Mikel Arteta’s side were saved by two own goals.
Despite Wolves being bottom of the table, Arsenal know they cannot underestimate Rob Edwards’ side, but fortunately, they have just the trick to make Molineux nervous.
Would it be naive or smart for Mikel Arteta to test his new midfield against Wolves?
Noni Madueke’s form at Arsenal and record against Wolves make for encouraging reading
If there’s one player Wolves won’t want to see, it’s Noni Madueke, who is in impressive form.
Madueke has four goal contributions in his previous five games in all competitions for Arsenal, as he continues to make his presence in the squad ahead of Bukayo Saka known.
After Saka starred in midfield against Wigan, there’s a chance that Madueke will keep his spot on the right wing, and he really should, as far as the clash against Wolves is concerned.
Last season, the summer signing scored four goals against Wolves in his two Premier League meetings with the Old Gold for Chelsea.
Agree or disagree: Noni Madueke has to start ahead of Bukayo Saka against Wolves
Madueke’s most recent goal against Wolves came on matchday 22 of last season, but the real magic happened on matchday two, when Chelsea beat the West Midlands club at Molineux.
Chelsea won 6-2 on the day, and Madueke scored a hat-trick, netting three goals in the space of just 15 minutes.
With his current form and his record against Wolves in mind, it goes without saying that Madueke is one to watch when he returns to Molineux as an Arsenal player.
Noni Madueke boos at Molineux explained
It’s not only goals that Madueke might expect at Molineux, but boos, too.
The winger was met with a hostile reception in the West Midlands when he last visited the ground due to an unfortunate mishap on social media ahead of kick-off.

Wolves hate to see Madueke coming 🫣
Before Chelsea’s 6-2 win over Wolves last season, Madueke accidentally posted a message about the city of Wolverhampton on his Instagram that read, “Everything about this place is s—”.
It was somewhat poetic that the forward then earned the keys to the city to score a rapid hat-trick, but the boos were noticeable, and forced an apology out of the Englishman.
“I just want to apologise to everyone that I might have offended. It is just a human mistake, an accident. It wasn’t meant to be out on my socials like that. I’m sure Wolverhampton is a nice town, and I’m sorry.”
Madueke then accepted why he was booed, “In terms of the boos, I expected it, but it is part of the game. You have to be able to play under that sort of pressure.”
On his first return to Molineux since that eventful day, Madueke will hope to leave with his goalscoring status intact, while leaving his phone at home.
