Bukayo Saka delivers honest verdict on 'brilliant' player Arsenal reportedly want

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka and Manchester City’s Phil Foden have both had their say on Brighton star Ben White.

The Gunners are working really hard to sign the Englishman this summer. Multiple reports revealed that we tabled an opening bid of £40 million for White, but Brighton turned that offer down.

We have reportedly gone back in with a better offer, but The Sun claim that the Seagulls have rejected that as well, and are playing hardball with Arsenal. That isn’t expected to deter Edu and Mikel Arteta, who seem convinced that White is the right man for us.

Bukayo Saka: Arsenal target Ben White has impressed me the most

Saka and Foden, who have been spending a lot of time with White in the England camp, are convinced that the Brighton man is a ‘brilliant’ footballer, with the Arsenal teenager also claiming that the 23-year-old has impressed him ‘the most’ out of anyone else in the squad.

Asked who has surprised him the most, Foden told ITV: “I haven’t really seen a lot of Ben but he’s come in and I thought he’s been brilliant in training. So I would probably say Ben White.”

Saka added: “Earlier I said I was impressed the most by Ben White. I haven’t seen him a lot this season but coming here and training with him, I’ve been impressed with him.”

Agent Saka?

We’re almost certain that Saka and White have had conversations with each other about Arsenal. Talks are clearly going on between the clubs over a transfer and the Seagulls defender would like to know how things are in London before he makes the move.

Saka being impressed by him is a good sign and a few words of encouragement will surely convince White that a move to Arsenal would be brilliant for him. However, convincing him was never going to be a problem, agreeing a deal with Brighton is proving to be one.

There’s still a long way to go in this summer’s window and Arsenal are the favourites to sign him. However, it’s best to wrap this deal up quickly, before other clubs wake up and put in a bid themselves.
