Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland has sent a message to Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard on Instagram.

One of the biggest weeks of our season awaits us as Mikel Arteta’s men prepare to take on Liverpool in the first leg of the semi-final of the Carabao Cup on Thursday.

A win at home in the first-leg will give us the boost we need to go and get a result at Anfield. Haaland, by the looks of things, will be cheering us on. Well, he’ll be cheering his good pal Odegaard on.

Odegaard, as he has been since the start of last month, will be a very important player for us. He has been absolutely brilliant and his stats in December will convince everyone that he deserves the Premier League player of the month award. (Read here)

The Norwegian is proving his worth at the Emirates after his summer move. He is among our best players now and after the heartbreak against Manchester City last weekend, he is fully focused on getting us back to winning ways.

Odegaard posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the caption: “Ready for another big week
@arsenal”

Haaland replied saying: “Go get them brutti”

Big week indeed for Arsenal

In recent years, Liverpool have always gone in as huge favourites against Arsenal in all competitions. However, this time, things could be slightly different.

The Reds will be without two of their best players – Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. They’re still dangerous without them, but our defenders would much rather play against Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino than the two African superstars.

Arsenal have to take advantage of that. We were absolutely outstanding against Manchester City in the first half and if we can replicate that against the Reds for 90 minutes, we’ll have a great chance of coming away with a win.

Odegaard will be our key man yet again and if he has a good game, we’ll have a good game.
