Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer, and Luis Suarez thinks the Englishman is ‘incredible’.
The Sun claimed last month that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Blues star on loan. The Athletic later revealed that the Gunners’ interest is indeed genuine, but we’ll only consider him as an option if Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are sold.
Abraham really is an interesting choice for Arsenal. He has no future at Chelsea, he’s young, quick and a proven goalscorer, and we won’t have to pay his £40 million transfer fee until next year.
Signing Abraham makes a lot of sense for Arsenal this summer, and Atletico Madrid superstar Suarez thinks he’s ‘incredible’.
Luis Suarez: Arsenal-linked Tammy Abraham is incredible
The Uruguayan told One Football in November 2019: “There are many young strikers who are playing very well this season. Personally, I have certain number of young and old strikers that I like to see them because of their skills.
“For example, I like Abraham, Chelsea’s number nine. In my opinion, he is an incredible striker with good finishing and who moves incredibly despite his youth.”
Well, if Arteta needed a recommendation from an elite striker to convince him that Abraham is good enough, he has got that from Suarez, who has been among the best in the world for the better part of the last decade.
Tammy Abraham or Lautaro Martinez?
Rumours about Abraham have cooled down ever since Arsenal’s interest in Inter Milan sensation Lautaro Martinez emerged. The Telegraph revealed a few days ago that the Gunners had enquired about signing the Argentine, while The Athletic claimed yesterday that ‘it’s a simple deal’ for Edu to complete.
Arsenal fans clearly don’t care about Abraham anymore now that a player of Martinez’s quality is reportedly on our radar. However, if a deal for the Inter Milan star cannot be agreed, the Englishman really wouldn’t be a bad option.

Yes, he probably won’t score 20 goals in the league for us if we sign him, but he offers us something we don’t have at Arsenal – an aerial threat. However, Martinez is our priority and rightly so. Ironically, Suarez thinks he’s ‘incredible’ too. (One Football)
