Arsenal star Martin Odegaard has given Emile Smith Rowe a brand new nickname after the two midfielders helped us beat Chelsea last night.

The Gunners went into the game at Stamford Bridge on the back of three consecutive defeats in the Premier League. Many people expected us to get battered last night, but we stepped up and completely deserved our win.

Goals from Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka and a brace from Eddie Nketiah gave us our win and all our players are in a happy mood again, which is amazing to see.

Martin Odegaard has a new nickname for Emile Smith Rowe

Ever since Arsenal signed Odegaard, there have been questions about if the Norwegian and Smith Rowe can play in the same team. It’s safe to say now that they can!

Odegaard assisted Smith Rowe for his goal against the Blues last night and both players were really, really good throughout – with and without the ball.

After the game, both players posted pictures of themselves with each other on Instagram. In Odegaard’s post, the Norwegian revealed his new nickname for Smith Rowe, and we must say, we love it!

“Emiliioooo,” he wrote in his Instagram Story.

Smith Rowe has quite a few nicknames now

Smith Rowe’s stock has gone up considerably over the last year or so and he has picked up plenty of nicknames along the way.

He’s often called ESR on social media while his most popular nickname is ‘The Croydon De Bruyne’.

Nuno Tavares, after he joined Arsenal from Benfica last summer, decided to refer to Smith Rowe as ‘The Smith,’ which really was hilarious.

Now, Odegaard has gone with Emilio and this might just be our favourite one yet.
