Arsenal defender Rob Holding has raved about how strong his young teammate Bukayo Saka really is.
The 20-year-old has once again been our best player this season. Saka has just been unstoppable at times and his return of nine goals and five assists this term is just sensational for someone so young.
The youngster’s pace, dribbling, vision and finishing gets all the plaudits and rightly so. However, his strength on the ball is something that often gets overlooked. Holding, however, has noticed that and is in awe of it.
Rob Holding: Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is so strong
Holding and Aaron Ramsdale sat down for a little segment on Sky Sports Football’s YouTube channel and the former heaped praise on Saka’s strength when he’s on the ball.
He said: “It’s kind of how strong he is for a young boy.
“I can’t believe how strong he is, the way he rolls people. Bukayo just has the balance and does not really fall over or get off balance and just rolls it.
“I think it’s a talent, you just have that, you can’t teach that.”
Saka’s strength really is his most underrated trait.
It’s not just how he keeps his balance when he dribbles past his opponents, but the way he can control the ball at his feet when it is fired into him while being challenged is just incredible for someone of his size.
The amazing thing for us is Saka will only get better. He’s already up there with the top players in the country, but once he gains more experience and develops a bit, it won’t be a surprise to see him become the best in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta and Edu have to sort out his contract ASAP.
