Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas has urged Scottish giants Celtic to sign Eddie Nketiah this summer.
The young Englishman was always viewed as the future of Arsenal’s strike force. He was a goal machine in all the age groups while coming through the ranks at Hale End, and Mikel Arteta hasn’t kept the fact that he is a big fan a secret.
However, it’s never easy for a young striker to come through the ranks and become a regular starter at Arsenal. He is behind Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and even Gabriel Martinelli, and that could soon cost him his Gunners career.

Charlie Nicholas: Celtic should sign Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah
Nketiah is expected to leave this summer and the talented Englishman will not be short of suitors. He is of interest to clubs in the country and abroad, but Nicholas wants him at Celtic next term.
He told The Scottish Daily Express (Tuesday, page 57): “I still think they (Celtic) need another striker. Even if they re-sign Leigh Griffiths and continue with Albian Ajeti, I believe they still need another one, especially if Odsonne Edouard goes.
“I would try and get Eddie Nketiah from my old club Arsenal. He has been linked with West Ham United and teams in the Bundesliga and he is a really quick and exciting talent.
“He had a spell on loan at Leeds cut short because of injury but he is back fit and he is one I would look at either on a loan or a permanent contract, if that could be done.”

The Insider’s View:
Nketiah, sadly, has no future at Arsenal and it is very likely that he will be sold soon. He is still an extraordinary talent and he has the potential to join a club and have a similar impact to what Joe Willock did at Newcastle last season.
Celtic would really be an interesting option. Edouard is expected to leave the Hoops and they will need a replacement. Nketiah would be an incredible option and he could easily become a hero in Glasgow.

However, a move to a Premier League club is the likeliest option this summer. Clubs like West Ham United are reportedly keen, and with the Irons set to compete in the Europa League next term, Nketiah could become a really useful player for them.
