According to Spanish news outlet Superdeporte, Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera has passed his medical ahead of a proposed £15m move to North London.
An official announcement is expected before the weekend, meaning that Mosquera should be part of Arsenal’s travelling squad to Asia.
Mosquera confirmed his Valencia departure with some emotional words earlier in the week and now looks set to add to Mikel Arteta’s defensive options.
The 21-year-old has impressed with his commanding performances in Spain and now gets the chance to showcase his talents in the Premier League.

Whilst his experience in English football will be questioned, Mosquera is an experienced player for someone of just 21 years of age having made 100 appearances already in his career.
He is known for his commanding physical presence and ability to win duels both in the air and on the ground.
