The January transfer window is right around the corner and for Arsenal, it could be the perfect time to land a new striker.
Mikel Arteta has struggled to add a clinical option in the centre-forward ranks since his arrival, though Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz have both impressed in part.
Arsenal are awaiting that centre-forward who can take them to the next level, with plenty of links emerging in recent months.
Alexander Isak has been linked with Arsenal following some key performances for Newcastle, while Viktor Gyokeres is a transfer option after some impressive displays for Sporting CP.
Another option, who has been linked as a potential future star is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson, with a deal now up for grabs.

Brighton make loan decision on Arsenal transfer target Evan Ferguson
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Evan Ferguson in the past, but never quite got a deal over the line.
Since staying at Brighton in the summer, the 20-year-old striker has made just nine appearances across all competitions, starting just three times under Fabian Hurzeler after battling back from injury.
It’s clear that there is a highly-rated striker there, but with the aim of furthering his progression, it seems as though an exit is on the cards this January.
According to The Telegraph, Brighton are open to letting Ferguson leave the club in January on loan for the rest of the season.
The Seagulls are claimed to rate him at £60million, while a loan is preferred as to avoid selling him for the future.
That may still change and while it may seem odd for Brighton to loan a striker to Arsenal, it may be a chance to land the next big striker for years to come if he succeeds.
There have been plenty of comparisons to strikers such as Harry Kane for the Irish international, something that the ex-Tottenham star has already lauded.

Harry Kane’s praise for Evan Ferguson
Ferguson has been a striker that many admire and his quality is still seen in his performances for the Republic of Ireland.
England captain Kane went up against the forward in UEFA Nations League action, ringing in the praise for his counterpart.
He said, via RTE: “I think he’s [Evan Ferguson] a good player, he’s a great finisher and obviously he will be a threat for them tomorrow night.
“I appreciate good strikers who score goals and he seems to be able to do that quite well.”
He certainly has an eye for goal and while the game time hasn’t been there so far, the chance to work at Arsenal and offer something different to Arteta and his team could be enticing.
It remains to be seen whether Ferguson would make the switch, but it opens up a fresh option in the market.
