Arsenal may well seek to bolster their attacking contingent in the final days of this summer transfer window.
Arsenal have been linked with numerous strikers over the course of this summer.
With Eddie Nketiah now set to join Crystal Palace, the need for Mikel Arteta to reinforce his strikeforce could become even more pressing.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright wants Arteta to bring a new attacker to the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window closes.
Arsenal have been linked with Evan Ferguson recently. The Gunners have been tipped to go head-to-head with Manchester City in the race to secure the £70 million ace’s services.
The North London club have been credited with an interest in the Brighton starlet before. Last summer, Arsenal and Ferguson were being named in connection with each other.
However, the 19-year-old’s stock has fallen somewhat since then. The teenager began last season in blistering form, netting his maiden Premier League hat-trick against Newcastle United early on in the campaign.
However, he only added two more top flight strikes to his tally after that, with his last coming in November. Injuries and a fall down the pecking order have hindered his progress since then.

Arsenal fans hit out at Evan Ferguson transfer link
The 12-cap Republic of Ireland international is undeniably an exciting talent, but is far from the finished article. He certainly isn’t ready to shoulder the burden of firing a side such as Arsenal to a Premier League title.
At least, that is certainly the view of many of the North London club’s supporters on X.
One said: “No one really knows how good Ferguson is gonna be. This is the problem. He looked frightening at the start of last season. Injuries are delaying his potential.”
Another stated: “Sell Eddie just to sign Ferguson is a huge fall off….massive downgrade.”
One claimed: “Nketiah is better than this guy, this is not the kind of profile we need to win the league or else we want to come 2nd again.”
The message to Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar is quite clear here; the club’s supporters are not behind a move for Ferguson at this time.
Forget Evan Ferguson, Arsenal need Victor Osimhen
If the Gunners are to push the boat out before Transfer Deadline Day and spend big on a new striker, then they need to focus their efforts on securing a deal for Victor Osimhen.
The Napoli star has already proven himself at the highest level, as he fired the Italian club to a historic Serie A title triumph in the 2022/23 season, netting 31 times in 39 appearances, across all competitions.
Chelsea are currently working on a deal for the Nigeria international. However, there is an opportunity for Arsenal to hijack this Osimhen transfer and bring him to North London. This chance is too good for the Gunners to miss.
Meanwhile, Ferguson has only shown flashes of quality. He is not guaranteed to live up to his potential, and his acquisition would come with enormous risk on that front.
