AC Milan reportedly believe Arsenal will beat them this summer to Viktor Gyokeres, who is expected to leave Sporting Lisbon in the coming months.
The Swedish international has been one of the best players in Europe this season, with Gyokeres scoring an astounding 36 goals in all competitions, with the former Coventry City man also bagging 14 assists.
With a reported release clause worth £85m, Gyokeres will be a man in demand after an unprecedented year of success in Portugal, with Arsenal and AC Milan two sides reportedly interested in the striker.
AC Milan think Arsenal will move to sign Viktor Gyokeres

And according to MilanLive, the Serie A giants believe Arsenal will soon move to sign Gyokeres, with Milan not sure they have the funds to meet Sporting’s demands for the attacker.
Lauded by Coventry manager Mark Robins as ‘unbelievable’, Arsenal’s need for a new world-class striker is seemingly taking the Gunners to Gyokeres, with Milan easing out of the picture.
Indeed, with 50 goal contributions already this season, it is easy to see why the north London side are now intensifying their interest in signing Gyokeres this summer.
Yet the Gunners and Mikel Arteta need to be sure that the 25-year-old forward truly is the one to lead the attacking line for Arsenal, with Gyokeres’ potentially only just a temporary thing.
Arsenal have to be certain they want to sign goalscoring sensation

Arsenal have been burnt before in signing a player based off one truly good year, with the north London side shelling out a then-club record fee to sign Nicolas Pepe back in 2019.
Whilst Gyokeres’ form over the last two years seem to suggest that the forward has something about him, Arsenal still need to be certain that the striker they sign is the one they really want to lead the line.
As a result, Arteta and Edu Gaspar have to ensure that Gyokeres is exactly who they want this summer, with the Swedish international putting up numbers that suggest that the striker could thrive in England.
