Arsenal could make a bid to sign Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento in the summer as Mikel Arteta adds to his defensive options.

Livramento has just two years remaining on his contract at St James’ Park, which could mean the Tyneside club are open to selling him.

Newcastle want to open talks over a new deal for the 24-year-old; however, interest from major Premier League clubs could scupper their plans.

Andrea Berta now looks to have added the defender to his list of summer targets, with the Gunners keen to add a new right-back.

Arsenal targeting Tino Livramento move

Arsenal are targeting a summer move for Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento, according to The Telegraph.

Given the defender’s deal runs until the summer of 2027 and he is yet to show an interest in signing a new contract, the Gunners’ hopes are quite high.

The former Chelsea academy star shares the same agent as Arteta, which again boosts Arsenal’s hopes of signing him.

The North London club want to add another full-back to their squad, especially on the right side, given the number of games Jurrien Timber has played this season.

Meanwhile, it could spell the end for Ben White at the Emirates Stadium, with the former Brighton man expected to leave in the summer.

Livramento would be an amazing squad option for Arsenal, given the fact that he can play on either side as a full-back.

Manchester City have also shown an interest in signing the England international, who could be set to go to the World Cup 2026 with the Three Lions.

Arsenal are also keen on Sandro Tonali, and could work on a double deal with Newcastle to bring both players to North London.
