Arsenal will be one of many clubs currently keeping tabs on Ademola Lookman ahead of the January transfer window.
Mikel Arteta is keen to add to his attacking ranks at Arsenal, and more competition is needed for Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left flank.
Ademola Lookman has attracted attention from Arsenal, and for good reason. The 27-year-old has been in fine form for Atalanta this season, with 11 goals and 5 assists to his name after 19 outings, across all competitions.
Earlier this week, the Nigeria international was voted African Player of the Year, in recognition of the progress he has made.

Arsenal learn Ademola Lookman transfer details
Arsenal recently scouted Lookman, and may be considering a swoop for his services this winter.
However, the Gunners will find it difficult to prise the attacker away from the Serie A club at this time, not least because Atalanta look set to mount a serious title challenge this season.
As reported by The Athletic: “There will be suitors for Ademola Lookman in January, but Atalanta are unlikely to let him go when they’re in the Serie A title race and on course to reach the next stage of the Champions League — unless they receive an offer that proves too good to refuse.
“Lookman is more likely to leave next summer when he will have two years left on his contract. The 27-year-old forward is not expected to renew, making it more plausible he will leave if suitable bids arrive. Atalanta are expected to have an asking price of roughly £30 million.”
Arsenal fans call for Lookman signing
Whilst the odds are against Arsenal getting their hands on Lookman this winter, he could be a longer-term target that Arteta returns to in the summer.
In any case, plenty of the North London club’s supporters on X have urged the manager to make a move for the wide man.
One said: “We need Ademola Lookman, he is the new Sanchez.”
Another stated: “The truth is, Arsenal owner won’t invest in January. An ambitious owner would target players like Ademola Lookman, And a striker, but we know that’s not happening.”
One Arsenal fan claimed: “I’m really ready for arsenal to spend big bucks to get lookman move Martinelli uptop.”
Another added: “Lookman would be great for Arsenal! 50m would be a bargain.”
If Lookman were to come to the Emirates Stadium, he would bring Premier League experience with him, having previously featured for Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City in the top flight of English football.
