Wolves winger Pedro Neto is a long-term target for Arsenal, and he could be in line for a move at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has struggled with injuries in the last few years, but has been sensational at times this season, with one goal and eight assist in 11 Premier League games this season.

Mikel Arteta is seemingly keen on adding more pace to his attacking line, and Neto has been linked in recent windows, but injuries scuppered any chances of a move.

Neto now appears to be edging towards a summer exit at Wolves, and a move to Arsenal could be on the cards.

Jorge Mendes lines up move for Arsenal target Pedro Neto

Sky Sports reporter Johnny Phillips has now revealed that super agent Jorge Mendes is now setting up a summer move away from Molineux for Pedro Neto.

“Neto is expecting chance to leave at end of season, Mendes lining up options,” he posted on X.

A winter move for Neto appears impossible, with Wolves unlikely to sell mid-season and Arsenal struggling with financial fair play, but all signs now point towards Neto moving in the summer, and Arsenal signing a winger at the end of the season.

Injuries are perhaps the only concern when it comes to Neto as a potential signing for Arsenal.

At 23, he would fit in well with the young core of this Arsenal squad, and he would be an option who could thrive at the Emirates for years to come.

Neto would provide some much-needed cover for Bukayo Saka, with whom there are concerns that his excessive playing time could lead to injuries, and he has been far from his best in recent games.

With Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard also struggling on the left wing, Neto could be an alternative option to add speed and creativity to both wings.

It remains to be seen what kind of fee would be needed to land Neto, but he could be a necessary addition to the squad.

Martinelli has regularly been substituted for Trossard, and Arsenal’s momentum in attack has suffered due to the loss of speed when the Brazilian is not on the pitch. Neto could help counter this, as he has excelled on both wings in the past, and would add additional goal threat and pace on either side.
