Arsenal are now pushing to make progress on a deal to sign Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga, with talks ongoing with the player’s camp.
The Gunners are looking to add to their attack this summer, and could now add the 16-year-old to their squad, as they also build towards the future.
Imagine you are Andrea Berta. Who is your top target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window?
Andrea Berta has also been targeting young players over recent months, with the Quintero twins also being signed by Arsenal back in December.
Now, Monga is the latest target for the future of the North London club, and work is in progress to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are pushing to advance on Jeremy Monga deal
Arsenal are now pushing to advance on the deal to sign Jeremy Monga from Leicester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The North London club have already held talks with Monga’s camp, which could now see them initiate contact with Leicester over a deal.
Monga is expected to cost around £10 million, which could be a lot of money for a player who has played just 105 minutes of Premier League action.
Last season in the Championship, the teenager made 27 appearances, scoring one goal and managing two assists.
Monga could end up playing for Arsenal’s Under-21s next season, and perhaps make a handful of appearances for the first team.
Could this be Arsenal’s starting XI in 10 years?
The winger is a big talent; however, playing Premier League football at 16 seems like a step too far for him at this stage.
Monga already knows Max Dowman very well, having played with the Arsenal youngster for England Under-19s back in 2025.
Monga and Dowman both play in the same position on the right, although the latter can also play more centrally.
But Arsenal are now certainly building a very exciting team for the future, with Dowman, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Marli Salmon, and potentially Monga all in the very early stages of their careers.
