Arsenal are confident they can beat the competition to sign Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.
The 16-year-old winger is one of the most sought-after teenage talents in English football this summer.
According to transfer insider Ben Jacobs, Leicester have received as many as eight formal enquiries from top clubs across England and Europe, with Arsenal among those in active talks to sign him.
Monga is expected to cost in excess of £10million, with the possibility that a fee could ultimately be determined by a tribunal.

The teenager became the second youngest Premier League debutant towards the end of the 2024/25 campaign, before further building his stock with impressive performances in the Championship.
Leicester would love to keep Monga, but having been relegated to League One, the likelihood of him remaining in the East Midlands is minuscule.

Hailed as “England’s Ousmane Dembele” by Como scout Ben Mattinson, Monga is a right-footed wide player capable of operating on either flank.
His pace, dribbling ability and directness draw comparisons to Bukayo Saka, while the way he carries the ball forward in tight spaces is reminiscent of Morgan Rogers — Arsenal’s primary senior target this summer.
Only two players in Premier League history have featured at a younger age than Monga, and ironically, both play for Arsenal. Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
Arsenal are enthusiastic about strengthening their approach in the youth market, and that has been evident in recent months.
The Gunners have recruited Irish teenagers Victor Ozhianvuna and Maxim Afonin, as well as Ecuador youth internationals Edwin and Holger Quintero.
Monga, with evidence of first-team potential already, would be the most exciting addition to that pipeline yet.
